I have a severe cavity on my lower wisdom tooth, & need to get it taken out. Is there anything that would make my cavity worse if i dont get it taken out right away? half of my tooth is almost gone.

Tooth decay is a progressive problem and usually gets worse with time. You should have the tooth removed as soon as possible by a competent dental surgeon to avoid having further problems that can be much worse
