I Had A New Bridge Put In And Whenever I Chew It Hurts. The Temporary One Worked Better. Can I Have It Changed Back?

Q.
Hello. I had a root canal done on the lower ring molar and they put the new bridge in. Now chewing and eating on the right side hurts, do you have any suggestions to stop the pain? I believe it’s in the molar where I had the root canal on. The bridge was too high and my dentist was grinding down on my upper bridge and then on the bottom. I been back 3 times and it’s better now. I still feel pain in when I chew on that side and the temporary one seemed like it was a better bridge. Is there any way I could change it back? Thanks.

Hello and thank you for getting in touch. If you are unhappy you should tell your dentist. If things don’t change then maybe you should seek a second opinion on the work you’ve had and you can see if they can change things for the better. Painkillers are a temporary option to relieve the pain you are receiving. I hope this helps. You can find more information on dental bridges through this website. Kind regards, Dr Andrew Moore.
