I’m worried it will carry on twisting and i will end up with it protruding, what should I do?

Friday, August 6th, 2010
Q.
Hey, I used to have upper and lower fixed braces when I was about 12 up until I was 19. The upper set was (apparently) pulling my jaw back inline as i had a slight over bite (u could just fit a finger tip in). I had the top set removed when i was 17 and the bottom removed at 19. My question is that I have noticed that within the last 3 or 4 months my top front left hand ( my left) tooth is starting to twist. The only way I can describe it is that it is like my teeth are moving forward and the right hand tooth is almost forcing itself underneith it. I wouldnt say that it causes me discomfort but I can feel the pressure of it twisting like I felt when I had braces. Do you have any ideas what may be causing this? My own dentist says that this sometimes just happens over time as we age however Im only coming up for 22!! Im worried it will carry on twisting and i will end up with it protruding, I didnt go through 7 years of pain for twisted teeth!,

Can I have my teeth straightened surgically?

Friday, August 6th, 2010
Q.
Hi, i have got a problem with both of my canine or eye teeth. They are bent inside my mouth,so when im brushing my teeth, i cant reach them properly. They cause the gum area around them to be sensitive when im brushing my teeth. Im limited when it comes to smiling coz i dont want people to see these annoying teeth. They ruin my smile. Im 37years old now and i think im too old for braces. Is it possible to have them straightened surgically ? Please help i need my smile and confidence back like all other people.,

Hi, I am a 22 year old female and i have an appox 1cm positive overjet. I had braces when i was a teenager so my teeth are fairly straight however the overjet didnt get corrected. I think my only option now is corrective jaw surgery but i am finding it difficult to find information about it. Please could you send me some about the risks, costs etc. Many thanks.,

Will treatments such as Six Month Smiles or Invisalign ever be be available on the NHS?

Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010
Q.
Hi, will either 6 month smiles or invisalgin ever be available on the nhs? I have heard that 6 month smiles are both cheaper and quicker than the braces that you can get on the nhs, while this may not be correct, if it is, will they ever be available on the nhs? Thanks.,
