Performing Botox injections and other facial rejuvenation procedures is an "obvious next step" for dentists, it has been claimed.

The Milford Times reports that dentists are concerned with the overall appearance of the face and therefore defying the signs of ageing is a clear progression from cosmetic dentistry.

Local dentist Carol Wilkop explained: "I can give them a beautiful look, I can give them a beautiful smile and I can help them with their skin. It’s interconnected and absolutely about providing health care."

According to Ms Wilkop, the signs of ageing are usually apparent when people are about 30-years-old and that by treating lines sooner rather than later, skin can be dramatically improved.

She claimed facial rejuvenation treatments can have a dramatic improvement on a patient’s life, explaining that, whether they like it or not, people are judged on the way they look.

The Daily Telegraph has warned people considering Botox injectionsto remember that it should only be prescribed by medical officials.ADNFCR-1374-ID-18500426-ADNFCR
