Trentham Dental Nurse All Smiles After Releasing First Novel
A dental nurse from Trentham has plenty to smile about after releasing her first novel.
Jenn Thompson, who writes under the author name R J Thompson, has finally published her debut novel after four years in the making. Soulkiss is a fantasy romance set in Ancient Greece. It charts the journey of a young lady who travels back in time after dreaming about a Greek warrior.
31-year old Jenn has been working on the book for four years and is already planning follow-up works following the success of Soulkiss. Jenn said she has been completely overwhelmed by the positive feedback, especially from readers in the USA. She is now raring to go with her next project.
When she’s not writing, Jenn can be found tending to patients’ teeth at Liverpool Road Dental Practice in Stoke. She attributes the success of the novel to her vivid imagination combined with a fascination with history.
Jenn self-published the book after encountering legal problems with two publishing houses she was signed to. She has received great support from patients and colleagues at the practice and she thoroughly enjoyed the writing process. She has been blogging for a while and has always dreamed of publishing a book.
Jenn is now working on Soulfate, a sequel to Soulkiss. She also enjoys keeping fit and making jewellery.
Principal dentist at the practice, Rizwana Arshad, is part way through the book and is impressed by Jenn’s writing skills. She regularly reads out blogs to her colleagues and it is clear that she has a talent for writing as well as caring for patient’s dental needs. Soulkiss is available from a number of online retailers and it’s also available for Kindle.
