Northumberland Dental Practice Offers Treatment Voucher to Raise Money for Charity
A dental practice in Northumberland has helped to raise money for a local charity by auctioning a treatment voucher online.
Newgate Dental Solutions auctioned a £500 treatment voucher for the Smooth Secret Skin Club and managed to raise bids up to £300. The donation was offered to Chin Up Family Respite Services to help fund a new facility in Carlisle. The charity already runs a centre in Seahouses.
Chin Up was established in 1994 with the aim of providing the families of children with progressive and terminal illnesses with respite care, day trips and short breaks. The charity provides help for families based in Cumbria and Northumberland.
The auction was organised by Jessica Dodds and lots of local businesses supported it, offering local people the chance to bid on a range of different lots.
Iain Morrison, clinical director of Newgate Dental Solutions, said that there was no hesitation when news of the charity auction arrived and the practice was honoured to offer an auction prize and support such a worthy cause. The lucky winner will now receive £500 worth of treatment, so that they can look amazing as well as having the satisfaction of supporting local families.
