    Default How many implants required?

Please can you tell me if 2 implants are enough to replace 6 teeth? I have been told it was fine to have 2 implants (one on each end) to support a bridge of 4 teeth. Would there be problems of eventual bone shrinking for the 4 bridged teeth as there isn't anything to support the bridge? I am referring to top front teeth.

    HI

I personally would not have two implants for 6 teeth ( i assume you mean a bridge with 6 teeth).

Difficult to say how many implants would be required because you need to assess- bite forces, bone quality, cosmetics, etc.

Best approach would be to see an experienced dentist to treatment plan the best and optimum approach.

    Regards

Thanks Dr Bohara for your reply. I have heard having top front implants doesn't give as good results aesthetically? Also, do you think not having front implants to support the bridge would result in bone loss over the years? It would be 2 implants either end supporting 4 middle teeth, so total of 6 teeth extracted.
