How to correctly fit the valplast denture in ease?

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009
Q.
Re. a Valplast denture. It was fitted a week ago,but very difficult even in the surgery.Ihave tried and tried over the last week to insert the denture and cannot do it. I see the dentist again in 2 days, for bite etc. I suppose. He will think I’m just a wimp but I feel that there is something wrong when after 40 mins. of struggle I can’t insert the Valplast. Every day for 5 days I’ve tried- 20 to 45 mins a time. I already have a denture which took a bit of trying to get used to, so I didn’t expect this to be instant.

Will dentures cause speech problems? If so how to overcome it?

Tuesday, September 1st, 2009
Q.
I have been told that gum disease has caused severe bone loss in my jaw leading to some of my teeth being wobbly and some on the very edge of falling out. The dentist was not even sure if there would be enough bone for implants. I need advice on dentures as I am only 40 and feel devastated about having all my teeth extracted and I am also an opera singer and worry that my singing might be affected by wearing dentures. What type of dentures might be available to me and will it affect my singing.

What sort of dentures are available at NHS?

Tuesday, September 1st, 2009
Q.
Hi I have recently been to my dentist and have been told I need an extraction and a denture put in its place. I have been charged £198 on the NHS for this. My question is what sort of denture will I be receiving? I was very nervous and too embarrassed to ask at the time. It is just one of the lower front teeth that needs replacing. I hope you can help.

Hi, I have been doing research on different types of partial dentures how about valplast

Monday, March 30th, 2009
Q.
Hi, I have been doing research on different types of partial dentures for my front teeth to make my teeth more attractive because I cannot afford veneers. I am not missing any teeth but I do have chipped teeth and bonding does not hold up. I was wondering if the Valplast would work for me because I am not missing any teeth or if the “flipper” type would work better? And what the price would be for 8 fake upper teeth in both types?
