Hi. im very unhappy about my teeth and as child i had braces for 6 years on and off and my teeth have never looked any different. My main problem is that i have alot of gaps at front and both of my side teeth were removed when i was 12 and have only grown half a tooth back each side. it doesnt look pretty and i feel i can not smile at all. i am desperate for surgery as im getting married 2011. could i get it on the NHS or any other way to make the payment any easier?

Even after two fixed braces my two front teeth still protrude.

Hi Julian I had a fixed brace fitted as a teenager (13) to correct my protuding front teeth. The orthodontis removed my fixed brace after approximately 1.5yrs and i was left with a gap between my LHS canine & semi molar where teeth were extracted.Twenty years later I had another fixed brace fitted to close the gap. After two fixed braces my two front teeth still protude. What other options do I have to correct my teeth.

My two top front teeth are 4mm apart from each other. I want to close it to 2mm at least, maybe even 1mm. I don’t mind having a gap, to ensure this what route should i go down?

I have couple of rotated tooth which leaves a gap when I smile

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009
Q.
Hello Doctor,I’m 13 years old. The 2 teeth to the sides of my front 2 teeth are slightly rotated and leaves a gap when I smile. I’ve been to the orthodontics and they refuse to give me treatment under the NHS. So i would like to know what the best treatment to straighten my side 2 teeth would be, also i would like to know the approximate amount of the treatment if i did it privately. Thankyou

What are my options to close my big gappy teeth?

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009
Q.
Hi there. I have been unhappy with the gaps in my upper and lower teeth. I had them recently filled but still i have a gummy smile and not all the gaps in my lover set of teeth could be filled because the gaps were to big. What other treatments could i get to get a really nice stright smile? Thanks for your time.

My receeding gum line is exposing metal bridge also causing teeth gap

Friday, November 6th, 2009
Q.
In early March this year, finally my “baby tooth” cut through – in the roof of my mouth, just behind my eye/front tooth at a pointing outward angle. Nothing special really, except that I’m 43 years old. I needed dental surgery, as it was pushing my front tooth forward and making loose my 3 tooth bridge. I had the surgery at Guy’s Hosipital under the care of a lovely team. It was pretty drastic I must admitt, drilling through the front of my upper gum line to the left of eye tooth and incision/hole drilled in the roof of my mouth to extract said tooth. Nine months later however, I’m left with a widening gap of the eye/front tooth and my 3 tooth bridge is loose, and lower than my gum line. My whole gum line has changed above the bridge so that now you can actully see the metal structure of the bridge itself. The bridge used to fit snug and I never had a gap either at the top of this structure or as is now a gap between my front and eye tooth. I don’t think my upper jaw bone structure would support implants following my surgery. What would you suggest? At this point I am seriously considering a denture of some form, one that does not involve invasive surgery, but then what about the gap between front tooth and eye tooth?
