Q.
When I was seventeen I saw a braces doctor and was told I could not get braces until I went to the dental hospital. I was told this was because I had a slanted jaw and the braces doctor would not be able to just proceed without fixing this. I’ve now been waiting for very long to get this done and I’m now nineteen. I told the surgery about this but no reply. Another braces doctor had a look and said I had no problems with my bite and thaat I would need to pay for braces even though I was seen at 17. He said he would refer me to another dental hospital. I can see the jaw is slanted and don’t really understand why they are saying it isn’t?
