How Can I Replace my Missing Teeth?

Thursday, March 19th, 2015
Q.

Hello. I have seven back teeth missing, all because of neglect that occurred when I was younger. I am now 46 years old. I want something done about it, maybe two teeth so then I can have a bridge. So what is the best option for me? Am I able to have my teeth done in one day? I am fed up all because of my upper back teeth and a couple of the side teeth are missing. I also have false dentures, but find it very hard to eat and the food gets trapped. Thank you.

I’m Fed Up Of My Removable Denture, How Can I Replace My Missing Teeth?

Monday, July 15th, 2013
Q.

I am 41 yrs old, non;smoker, general good health.MY teeth are fine but owing to 15 yr gap in visits to dentist I (According to X -ray image)I now have advanced gum disease which will not respond to treatment,at least at a non specialist level, specialist treatment for me would be prohibitively expensive.consequently the rear molar on either side of the lower jaw has been removed-according to my dentist this now leaves my bottom teeth in a stable state, however 2 front teeth on the upper jaw have also been removed
and the 3 behind the right canine
also have infection beneath them and thus are scheduled for removal in near future.I already have a small denture for the missing front 2 teeth which slides into place without clips but this has to be removed in order to eat any but the softest foods. If all these teeth are removed is any infection
likely to be contained?can you suggest appropriate methods to replace missing teeth which might
be more secure than those I currently use?

My Boyfriend Had His 2 Front Teeth Knocked out, Is He Eligible For Dental Implants?

Friday, July 12th, 2013
Q.

Hi my boyfriend has had his 2 front teeth knocked out playing sports. He is a full time mature student at present and has no savings so feels his only option affordable to him would be to get dentures. Is it true that he can apply for a hc2 certificate which would pay for NHS dental care? Would this cover anything towards dental implants? If not then do any dentists offer affordable and realistic (for that individual) treatment plans over a period of time, even when the treatment is complete? He’s only young and isn’t ready for dentures I feel, plus he would like it if the treatment could blend in naturally with the rest of his natural teeth. I think that a denture may appear bulky and will affect his speech. Can you please offer an advice? Thank you for your time.

Is it normal procedure to have a tooth extracted after the failure of a root canal treatment?

Wednesday, November 17th, 2010
Q.
I am concerned that I made the wrong decision on having a tooth removed last year as I was explaining the situation to a friend and I wanted to seek some clarification so I can put my mind at rest about the decision I made. I hope this is appropriate for me to ask the further steps I have now taken to resolve this has been to have a bridge fitted. I was experiencing toothache on a tooth that had a large filling- half the side of it had come away previously. I had root treatment carried out and was told it would be difficult with it being a back molar. The root treatment failed so I had this done again and was given a course of antibiotics. However, a week after the second root treatment I was still in pain and my dentist said that extraction was the next option or to take another course of antibiotics. I chose extraction as it was a difficult tooth and when I asked my dentist about having it built up should it be ok I was informed that ‘It would be tricky to build it out on the palatal aspect and it would cause difficulty in cleaning, stagnation and further disease’. I know there’s no point in looking back now as the tooth has gone but it this normal procedure if root canal treatment does not work? Thank you.,

Should I have a better denture made up? Any advice on this?

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010
Q.
Hi. I wear a denture with my two front teeth on and the two either side of them are crowns. The two crowns i have left are 22 years old and one of them is frequently coming out. I’m unsure wether to have a better denture made (a metal one) or to have a bridge done. Can you give me any advice? Thankyou,
