Are there any procedures to bring back my original shape of face?

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009
Q.
When i was in my teens i had a fixed brace to straighten my teeth, teeth were also removed, This totally changed the shape of my face my top lip/chin look empty even though i only had about 4 teeth out, are there any proceedures which could either bring teeth back out even if it meant wearing another brace, i dont really want veneers, i wish id been asked before the brace as id rather have had crooked teeth than a changed face! please help!!

My daughter is 19 how bowen therapy could help her?

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009
Q.
Hello, My daughter, now 19 yrs, had ‘holistic’ dental treatment where the arch of her teeth was widened and braces worn so all her teeth could fit in. During this process the dentist did some allignment work on the actual jaw. The work went wrong and she was left with misalligned jawline. Her chin is not on centre line and one side of her jaw is lower than other and teeth on that side do not touch. She finds it hard to open the mouth wide (cannot eat an apple for example) and has tinnitus. She finds Bowen therapy helpful but the jaw is particularly bad at the moment and we need to find proper solution. Is this the kind of case you can help with? If so, how? If not, can you recommend me someone who can, please? The dentist in question was struck off, and so cannot help (probably couldn’t in any case) and we are desperate for top quality help as cannot afford to get things wrong again. Regards,

My daughter is having two wisdom teeth pulled and they have told her she may need alveoplasty and it is not covered by insurance. She will never put dentures where the wisdom teeth were so why would it be neccessary?

Could you suggest some treatment for my teeth which are forward?

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009
Q.
Hello I have a problem where my teeth from the k9s inwards are too far forward they are straight as the roots themselves are too advanced. I suspect I should have had braces as a child. The result is when my mouth is closed I look as if im wearing a gum sheild. I saw an orthodentist about 10 yrs ago who said he couldnt really make much difference. I wondered if techniques have moved on since and if you might be able to help?

How would I make a claim on dentists fault?

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009
Q.
I had a root canal about 5 years ago, earlier this year I developed an infection in the gum above this tooth. Xrays show that the end of a metal tool was left in the gum. Is it possible that my dentist was not aware of this, as I think it unlikely. She never told me about it and I have been told that I must have the tooth extracted due to the infection. This dentist also broke off a drill bit under my sisters tooth, who had to go to the dental hospital to fix it so this is by no means a one off. Is this a regular thing that happens? Is there anyway, seeing as part of one of her tools would be missing, she would have not known about this to inform me. Another dentist has told me that I can take it further, is there a ‘offcom’ for dentists? And as I now face a large bill to sort this how would I go about trying to make a claim of she was at fault.
