hi hows it going ive really got a phobia about going to a dentist

Thursday, November 13th, 2008
Q.
Hi hows it going ive really got a phobia about going to a dentist which has led to me neglecting my teeth so my front teeth have some tartar stains on the 2 front teeth and on one of my fangs and a few cavitys on my front and back teeth and one of my front tooth has crackec completely in half and is hanging on by the front surface of the enamel even tho there isnt much of that left.I got an appointment to see my new nhs dentist in a few weeks times and ive been reading up about what procedures they would use for this kind of treatment and it says the composite filling will match my natural teeth color and that is what has kind of confused me as i have abit of tartar stains and my 2 front teeth have discolored quite a bit to a light brown (due to i drink a lot of teas) and i was wondering if the composite filling would match the tea stained teeth or the colour of my teeth before they became discolored and stained or is there another procedure they do to restore a brighter whiter smile and by the way im going for free nhs dental treatment. thanks alot cant wait for your reply

I have two molars that are showing signs of fracture

Monday, November 3rd, 2008
Q.
I have two molars that are showing signs of fracture. My dentist wants to put a silver or “composite” crown on each one but the procedure of drilling away a good portion of the teeth is upsetting to me. Is there a bonding procedure that will serve the same purpose- that is, hold the tooth together to prevent it breaking completely?

Monday, October 6th, 2008
Q.
I recently had a white filling crack and fall off. the dentist then put some medicene on it and said to leave it on for a few days and then he would see if he could save the tooth. i wenr back and he said he could save it and gave me 2 injections and attemted to drill it however he then said the nerve was too infected/bad to save and the tooth would have to come out. i am booked in for wednesday but i dont want a gap in my mouth what are the alternatives or options?. also this filling was done not soo long ago and cost me £100 is this fair for this to happen?

Front teeth fractured in Africa my NHS veneers fallen off

Saturday, June 28th, 2008
Q.
Hi Dr. Suri, I am a 42 year old woman who due to a road traffic accident 18 years ago in Africa, had my front teeth fractured and weakened. About 3 years ago an NHS dentist was kind enough to restore my smile and began the long and scary process of vaneers, for which I was very grateful. Unfortuantly my vaneers are constantly falling off and breaking. It has now got to the point where I do not know where to turn next as I\’m constantly driving an hours drive back and forth to fix a tooth only to be back in the dentists chair within weeks. I can see this is not going to get sorted out as I have tried to talk to the NHS dentist who obviously can only work within the NHS guidelines and budget! As I type this to you I have awful tooth ache as a vaneer has come off once again and I can only be seen mid July for a consultation ONLY! If you have any advice that you could give me to end this nightmare I would be very much appreciative. Hope you can help?!!
