If I got veneers and then teeth whitening would they be a different colour?
Wednesday, December 1st, 2010Would getting veneers now affect the chances of me being able to get braces in the future?
Wednesday, December 1st, 2010Will veneers have an impact on my chances of having braces installed in the future?
I’d like to even out the appearance of my top incisors with veneers. I’m also considering braces in the future. Will the veneers make it impossible to finish the straightening process of my teeth? I’ve heard mixed news.
If I need to forgo veneers and wait longer but improve the appearance of all my teeth, it may be worth the wait.
Thanks.
Would it be possible for me to get a crown on my front tooth, which broke when I was nine?
Wednesday, December 1st, 2010 Hello, dr. Moore!
I have a really important question to ask you. When I was about 9 years old, I broke my front teeth, the dentists were trying to puts some plombs on or something like that. I walked like that for 6 years, now when I am almost 16, the plomb fell out for 3rd time, the question is – in my age (15) is it even possible to put a dental crown on, or if it’s not, what age would be appropriate to put the crown on?
Thank you,.
Would it be possible to place veneers over crowns as I really dislike them?
Wednesday, December 1st, 2010Can you put veneers over crowns? I really dislike my crowns which don’t go up to the gum Hence there is unsightly black lines above the crown. Do I have to replace the crown? I understand there is a danger of breaking the original tooth if they do this.
I would like Lumineers for my overlapping teeth but NHS dentists have advised against it. Can you advise?
Monday, November 29th, 2010Hi im 23 years old and have 2 overlapping teeth at the top front of my teeth. I am rather insecure about this and would like to have lumineers to cover them. NHS Dentists have said not too as theyre bad for you however i dont have 6,000 for incognito braces. i wanted something faster and less money with more of a impact.
Is there some other solution other than braces to fix my small and also large teeth gaps?
Monday, November 29th, 2010I have a very small gap in my front teeth, and a larger gap between the front tooth and the lateral incisor. My teeth are straight and are healthy, it’s just that there are these gaps between them. I feel too old for braces as next year I’ll be going to university and really wouldn’t appreciate having braces at this stage in my life. Is there any other possible solutions to close the gaps? Even just the larger gap between the central incisor and the lateral incisor? Thank-you.
Is it normal to develop a speech impediment after having veneers fitted?
Thursday, November 25th, 2010 I’ve had my two front teeth plated with dental veneers. My dentist recommended this as they were chipped and the fillings kept breaking off from a few hours to a few weeks after filling. The treatment was very painful as when he ground them down, it must have went close to the nerve. My face swelled up around my sinuses and I had a headache for days afterwords. Then when the veneers were put on a week ago, they were made very close together and the length of them were much shorter than my original teeth. They said they done this so I wouldn’t break them off. Now they lay in line with the teeth either side, instead of being slightly longer.
I now have a speech impediment as I cannot pronounce F or V properly, whereas I have always had correct pronunciation. I’m embarrassed to speak. I wish I never had this treatment done if I knew it was going to impair my speech.
My query is – is this normal for everyone to not being able to speak properly after having veneers fitted? What can I do to have this fixed? I looked at a website afterwords that stated Lumineers could have helped without unnecessarily destroying my teeth, but my dentist stated these were not as good as veneers and didn’t last as long? Is this true? and if so, how come dental websites can state they last 4 times as long if this is in fact the opposite?
I’m very unhappy with not being advised on what would happen when having veneers fitted, as I would not have agreed to them being fitted. I didn’t ask for them, I was told this was the only option besides bridges or crowns.
Please advise consciously.
What durable dental options are availble to fix chipped front teeth?
Thursday, November 18th, 2010Hello Dr, I have a question. I’ve chipped both of my front teeth when i was 12 (now I’m 24) it’s like an upside down V, both chipped diagonally in half..since then I’ve had a dentists put in new bits yearly but as they fall out yearly and are fragile and this costs me every year this sems to not be the best option. How would you suggest i fix this, what is required from me and how much roughly is this likely to cost?

How long do you have to wait in between getting old veneers removed and replaced with new ones?
Thursday, November 18th, 2010Hi, My Wife has veneers on her 2 front teeth that need replacing due to looking bulky and stained. She is worried what she will look like once the veneers have been removed for the new one to be fitted. Will she have to go about her weekly routines with dodgy looking front teeth until the new veneers are fitted?

Are there more permanent solutions than veneers?
Thursday, November 18th, 2010Hello. I have suffered with eating disorders and it has eroded the enamel on my teeth. I once had a wonderful big, full smile and now my front teeth are paper thin and have shortened. I hate smiling now and i would love to get my smile back. I have veneers on the back of my 4 top front teeth but they dont look good and i dont feel secure with them – i would like a more permenant solution and teeth more like my own were before. Any suggestions or advice?,
