Q.
I have recently found out I require all of my teeth to be taken out, due to gum disease. Would I be able to get implants in my full mouth after treatment has settled.

I had a filling in my left front tooth and I am worried it will fall out

Friday, May 30th, 2008
Q.
I am concerned about my left front tooth. A few years ago i had a filling in it, and then i moved dentists and since then the filling has come out. The hole is small in the front of my tooth but i am scared of dentists because last time i went they had to pull out a tooth, i am also concerned about losing my tooth. The hole has not appeared to have got amazingly bigger as you can only see it if you look close enough. If a front tooth did fall out what could i have done to replace it? Please advise me on what to do as I am losing a lot of sleep at night worrying about it.

I have some movable teeth can I have fixed stable teeth

Thursday, May 29th, 2008
Q.
I have some very movable teeth and I want to know if there is anyway I could use the stable teeth (approx six) to have a bridge fitted or is it better to have them removed and replaced with a full denture as this will probably be inevitable in the future.

Mum has premature menopause and gum disease please help

Thursday, May 29th, 2008
Q.
My Mum has gone in to premature menopause and is now suffering from receding gum disease. She already has a bridge for 70% of her top teeth that she has lost. Apparently the actual jaw bone is rotting and there is nothing for the teeth to hang on to but the teeth themselves are healthy. The remainder of her top teeth are now becoming unstable and her dentist has advised her she will loose them soon and will have to have a denture. This terrifies my Mum who is only 47 years old. Can you advise us of any treatment options to slow her condition down or alternatives to a denture? Implants may not be an option due to the problem being her crumbling jaw bone. She already takes Co Q-10 and Grapeseed Oil to try and strengthen the gum tissue. I would be so very grateful for your help.

My dentist says that I do not have enough bone for a dental implant

Thursday, May 29th, 2008
Q.
I have just been informed by my dentist that I may not have enough bone for a dental implant. I’m 38, healthy and active. Should I seek a second opinion or request a CT scan. They have offered to slice the gum open to check for sure. It all sounds a bit vague really. I really want to have the implant as neither the denture or bridge option are satisfactory to me. My dentist has also mentioned a bone graft but suggests because you can see my gum when I smile this will not look very good. Also my bite is very close. Is this a factor in the potential success?
