Hi, I wondered if you could help me with something? I had my four front upper teeth crowned about 16 years ago, due to my gums receeding i now have gaps along the top of three of them , which causes food to get trapped and looks unsightly. i would also at some point like to get some teeth whitening done.
I am unemployed due to redundancy 6 months ago. However I do not claim any benefits and so am very short on money but I do feel I need the work doing . How much should i expect to pay to have my crowns redone and can i get any help with cost? Do you think I will have to have them replaced often due to the nature of my gum recession? Should I look into gum grafts do you think? Any help would be much appreciated, thank you and kind regards.

I had 20 Crown Replacements And Now My Feel Teeth Are Loose, What Should I Do?
Wednesday, April 24th, 2013I had cosmetic crown replacements on 20 teeth. I had a great deal of trouble getting them right. As in, I had to have many adjustments carried out by my dentist. My bottom front teeth kept hitting each other resulting in constant movement. Fortunately, that has been resolved for the most part, but now my bottom canine is loose. This has just occurred over the last week. Do you think this is because of the constant movements? The bottom teeth have been in place since June. What can be done for this? Should I go to a specialist rather than my actual dentist who carried out the crown replacements? Thank you for any help you can provide.

Wednesday, April 17th, 2013I am having my two front teeth crowns replaced, and i have just had the temporary ones put in. I would like to go very white, I need my teeth whitening then i am going to have my crowns put in to match the new white teeth. What is best for me to do? will I get good results from in surgery lazer teeth whitening? as I know laws have changed in the past month and the chemicals used are not as strong, or would a home kit be better? if a home kit would be better should i still receive this from my dentist or purchase another online because i’ve seen some good whitening deals. I would like it done as soon as possible for my wedding in January. Any advice would be great, thank you very much.

I really need an advise and hopefully you would be willing to help.
I have a crown placed 16 years ago and now it has to be replaced. I went for a consultation and my dentist told me that before replacing the crown, he has to do the root canal treatment because what I have is not long enough, :-/ Is this a common process of replacing a crown?? I find his reason not convincing enough, please give me an advise what to do best, because I really need to replace my old crown the soonest, it’s starting to break little bit.

How much would it cost to receive: 3 crowns, 3 root fillings and to have 2 teeth extracted?
Friday, August 31st, 2012 I am looking to have replacement crowns of my upper front 3xteeth, also require bridges to fill gaps on my lower back teeth x 2 to fill gap where 2 x teeth have been extracted (maybe x4) I also need 3 xroot fillings, and would like veneers on remaining teeth visible when I smile, back teeth to be whitened. 11x teeth upper(including 3 crowns) Could you 11x teeth and 2 gaps on lower. What do you think the cost would be for all the work? Also could you recomend a good dentist in the Chehire area, WA6.

P.S I have already had a consultation, which cost me £140, after having the special xrays, also 2 x teeth removed which cost £198 per tooth, I was under the impression that this would be the cost if surgical removal was required, although one of the teeth took a while to extract 5 to 10 minutes the other came away easily(both were broken and only had a sml amount above the gum remaining) I did not require surgery, but when I went to pay was charged £396, I coudn’t question this as I had had cotton buds put in the gaps, and couldn’t speak. Please please please, let me know if this sounds ok, or should I question it? I just want nice smile, it’s really getting me sown now, I don’t have the money and am using a credit card to finance my treatment. Have as for a quote on all work that I require, but up to yet not received one; it’s been over 6 weeks since my anitial consultation and it’s already cost £396 extractions+£140 consultaion+£35 for antibiotics(week after first consultation, got an absess on the tooth which was due to be removed)£579. Am a single mum earning £12,000 a year, can have free treatment on NHS, but not the kind I need. Really effecting my confidence. (43year old)

How long does a cerec crown last, 10-15 years? and how much does it cost? what is the main difference between cerec and veneer beside 1 sitting done?My crown look faky and there are dark line on the gum edge. It is metal fused. Pls be specific and detail cause i need more advise to make a real decision on my teeth, thank you

Wednesday, July 4th, 2012Hi my teeth have lost loads of enamel on my teeth. i have several crowns due to this and bonding on the majority of my back teeth which comes away several times a year which they replace. i have looked at dental implants but would like to know a little more to see if this procedure is for me. I saw an advert about where you can have it done in a day but cannot find any details about it. i pay privately for my dental treatment each month. but they are reluctant to do any thing else for me. i have i think two 3-4 crown on the back teeth and an awaiting a further one and my front top four are crowned, the front ones are very old now.
My porcelain crowns have turned yellow! What can I do about this problem?

I had porcelain crowns fitted approx 10 years ago, (8 on the top teeth) when they were fitted they were a nice natural cream colour (not too white) and matched my other teeth. Unfortunately in recent years they have yellowed. A couple of my friends have commented on this too. When discussed with my dentist he says it is impossible to discolour. This leaves me not knowing how to proceed as I know tooth whitening does not work on crowns? I have read it is possible to remove glaze on crowns by hygienist cleaning but I dont know if this is the case? How can I now proceed as a smile i was once happy with has gone. kind regards.
