Could you plz explain me how my tooth be saved?

About 2 weeks ago, I was hit with a football. I experienced pain and noticed my tooth was loose in every way. Quickly, I braced my tooth using floss and other tooth on opposite side. I have not, and today used front teeth for anything. After a few days,I experienced no pain and sensitivity was reduced. Hot and cold has no effect. Considering that I have very good teeth, 8 or 9 days later, I knew something wasn’t right. I went to my local emergency dental clinic. After the Dr. evaluated x-ray, he said I did the right thing (bracing). The “right part” of root on my lower incisor is cracked. He noticed no inflammation. He wants me to keep bracing and schedule appt. with my Dentist in 2-3 weeks. He said to look 4 color change and on that later appt. with my Dentist, they will run test… Can you please explain the test? Also, I know teeth are (avascular), what is it that I’m hoping for? I’m so upset and fear the worst. If needed, regardless price, I will have to get an implant asap. Please explain how my tooth may be saved? Thank you

My front tooth seems to be chipped even though I hadnt hit it on anything why?

I just started whitening my teeth with 44% carbamide peroxide gel I bought online. I’ve used it 4 times total… once a day for 5 minutes for the last 4 days. After the second use, I noticed my front tooth seemed to be chipped even though I hadn’t hit it on anything. Two more uses later, and the chip seems to be getting bigger. Everything I’ve read online says carbamide peroxide whiteners are safe and the worst side effect is tooth sensitivity, which I haven’t experienced. What is going on with my tooth?! Is it from the whitener??

Will it hurt to get chipped tooth repaired?

Is it normal to accumulate a sticky substance around a new resin filled teeth?

Hi, I recently chipped one of my front teeth, and yesterday had it filled in (I think with a resin). Since then, I’ve noticed a sticky gunge collecting around it-similar to saliva, but thicker and sticky. Is this normal due to how recently the filling was put in, or do I need to go back to my dentist.

Advice over matching of new and old crowns

I recently broke a piece off a back tooth on which I had root canal treatment a few years ago. Both of my front teeth are crowned and I was also experiencing a little “vibration” in one of them. On visiting my dentist yesterday and after taking x-rays, she says the root canal treatment I had years ago was “incomplete” (it was done at the same practice but by my previous dentist who has now left) but there is no decay so recommends just a crown as there is not enough tooth left to fill. As for the front crown I have an infection for which she is recommending root canal treatment and a new crown. She has quoted me £450 per crown plus £360 for the root canal treatment Initally I thought this sounded very expensive but after a bit of research have accepted these are probably the right prices – however my main concern is that the new crown will match the one next to it? I should be grateful for your opinion on the treatment recommended and the price – and is there a chance they won`t match? Thanks you for your time.

I have broken and decayed teeth but i fear dentists plz advice?

I am 47 years old and have not been to a dentist for 27 years after a quite terryfying experience. I have lost alot of teeth and apart from a few at the front bottom and top the others remaining are broken or decaying. I am scared stiff of the dentist and get panicky just thinking about it. Could you give me some idea of how I will accepted if I go. I do not want to be lectured as i am well aware of my situation. What I need is a sympathic and calming approach but I am really scred this may not be the case.

I have chipped my front teeth is it possible to have tooth bonding?

Hi there. I have recently chipped one of my front teeth. I do not wish to get it filed down as my other front tooth is a crown, and this would only make the crown look bigger! Is it possible to have tooth bonding on this front tooth? It is a small thin chip, and only noticable up close. If so does this need to be done privately or can it be carried out on the NHS? thank you for your time

Dear Dr Andrew Moore Recently I’ve had extremely hard pain on one of my front teeth so decided to pay a visit to my local dentist. After taking an x-ray he noticed my top tooth bone was eroding so told me he would have to remove the tooth the next time i visit. I’m thinking of leaving it and let nature take place and see if the tooth stays in place but if it gets bad to worse and have no choice and its left to the tooth being removed what would you advise me to do .
