What can be done about my facial misalignments and jaw/teeth alignment issues?

Tuesday, March 22nd, 2011
Q.

My jaw looks like it is slightly on the left side. When I look at myself in a profile manner, my left side jaw looks more define than my right. it looks like i am tilting my head to the right but I’m not. My right profile side has a defined line underneath my cheekbones but it doesn’t have it on the other side. Every time I yawn, my right jaw pops outwards and it bothers me a lot. I don’t know what to do. I do not know which orthodontist to go to or if I have to get surgery. I went to the doctors and took x-ray pictures but they said everything is normal. I certainly do know that my jaw is not normal. I hide behind my hair, terrified that someone might notice it. I restrain myself from doing a lot of things because I am scared and embarrassed about my jaw. Please help me.

My face is asymetrical, would braces help?

Friday, March 26th, 2010
Q.
Hi. I have once before had braces, but I am now noticing that my face is asymetrical. I am 23 years old. I am wondering if I were to get braces, at my age, could facial symetry be established? Thank you so much for your help!,
