i got 10 porcelain veneers fitted and now i am suffering from pain how do i correct my bite

Q. Hi. I have just had 10 porcelain veneers fitted to my top teeth. My temporaries were painful but i thought that would ease when my final veneers were fitted. I have just returned to the dentist due to head pain, neck pain, jaw pain and ear pain. I had my bite slightly corrected and was told that the pain is caused by all the muscles trying to correct themselves. Please could you tell me how long this pain may go on for, and how do i know if the bite is now correct. Thanks.

A. It is difficult to advise you without seeing you.  It sounds like your bite is off.  When you bring your teeth together they should feel like they all come together at the same time, if you feel you are hitting one tooth or one side first then this can contribute  to the symptoms you have.  You need to be a little patient and don’t have too many adjustments too quickly.  Go back and see your dentist and explain how things feel.  Please feel free to contact me again and let me know how you get on.
