can you tell me whether i can have a white covering on my silver fillings
Q. Hi can you tell me please whether or not i can have a white covering on my silver fillings so i dont have to have them removed. thankyou
A. I’m afraid that this is not possible. The only way would be to have the amalgam fillings removed and replaced with composite restorations. If you have some heavily restored teeth, then it would be beneficial to have porceain crowns placed over the top. The amalgam filling can remain as the core of the tooth.
