How long should I wait for a crown to be fitted after root canal?
Q.
I had root canal treatment on my 1st right upper molar 2 weeks ago and my dentist advised me to have a crown put on it in a few weeks time otherwise that tooth may fracture.
How long after the the Root Canal Treatment should I get the crown fitted?
I would appreciate your prompt reply.
Many thanks in advance.

Dear Enquirer,
I normally wait 3-6 months after a root canal before I place a crown, however, if the tooth is heavily filled and is vulnerable to fracture, I sometimes do the crown immediately.
