I can see the metal of my crown showing at the back of my teeth, why has this happened?

Hi.I did my crown on my front teeth last september 2008. Yesterday i saw the metal of the crown showing off at the back of my teeth.What cause this?Is there any treatment? Thanks.

You may of chipped some of the porcelain of the crown as it sounds like a metal to bonded crown. You would have to have the crown replaced if you don’t want the metal to show. Maybe go for a ceramic crown these have no metal in them so the problem won’t happen again.
