Snodland Teenager Bailed After Dental Surgery Crash

A teenager has been bailed after driving his car into a dental practice in Snodland.

Police have confirmed that a 19 year old male has been released on bail pending further enquiries following the incident, which occurred on Saturday 21st May. It is believed that the driver stopped to buy a kebab before ploughing into Holborough Dental Surgery. He was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.

A spokesman for Southern Dental, who run the surgery, said appointments have been unaffected, as the dentist from Holborough Dental Surgery has temporarily relocated to Snodland Dental Care, which is owned by the same chain. The team is hoping the practice will reopen in the next three weeks, depending on the outcome of a visit from a loss adjuster. Fortunately there was no structural damage caused to the surgery or the neighbouring optician.

There were no eyewitnesses at the scene, but an employee at a nearby restaurant said there was a large bang and many people rushed out to see what had happened.

The driver, who is from Aylesford, has been released until the 25th of July.
