A recent study by comScore, Inc. has found that today’s potential cosmetic dentistry patients are turning to their smartphones, rather than the phonebook to find the perfect dentist.
Mobile technology has greatly advanced in only the last 5 years and many dental companies have taken advantage of the recent boom, by investing in the newest online marketing and web development and making their present felt in the online world.
As the demand for cosmetic dentistry treatments increases the Internet provides a touchstone, which helps patients gage who are the best, most qualified dentists out there and what they offer. To do this more and more people are using mobile Internet connections, provided by many of today’s smartphones, to search terms such as teeth whitening, smile makeover and porcelain veneers.
It may therefore be imperative for the survival of a practice, to invest in the areas of Internet marketing and web design, to ensure that their clinic is seen and noticed by an interested public.
