Potts 'dazzles' royal audience with new smile
The singer recently underwent cosmetic dental surgery in order to improve his teeth and told the Sun newspaper he feels much more confident.
Mr Potts' cosmetic dentist, Dr Johann Styger from the Portmore Dental Practice in Weybridge, surrey, explained that when tooth enamel becomes worn down, erosion can occur up to ten times faster leading to an increased risk of teeth breakage.
"Once the teeth start to wear down, the shape of the bit changes and the mouth becomes out of balance. This can lead to difficulties with pronunciation in some patients," he said.
Dr Styger explained that Mr Potts chose a natural-looking veneer treatment which will resist discolouring and staining for up to 15 years.
Veneers are currently the third most popular cosmetic dental treatment in the UK, with 18 per cent of all patientsrequesting them, reports the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
