A dental practice based in Newcastle Emlyn has reopened after moving to new premises.

Emlyn Dental Care has relocated from its previous home in Adpar to a new site in Church Lane, which was previously used as a day centre.

Neil and Arwel Jones, the owners of the practice, hosted an opening celebration to welcome patients to the new facility and were eager to show off the surgery. The state of the art clinic is kitted out with modern technology, contemporary treatment suites and a spacious reception area. The team comprises four dentists, a dental hygienist, a practice manager and seven dental nurses.

The grand opening of the new, state of the art clinic was attended by Cllr Emlyn Dole, leader of Carmarthenshire County Council, who took the opportunity to speak about the importance of investing in the local area and creating local jobs. The council contributed £128,000 towards the renovation project and Cllr Dole was impressed with the setup at Emlyn Dental Care and optimistic about the positive impact it would have on the community.

News of the opening of the practice was also welcomed by Cllr Hazel Evans, who said that it indicated confidence in the growth of the town, which was particularly important following the recent closure of local banks and retail businesses.
