Not-for-profit group, SCA Trafalgar has announced that it will open a new dental practice in Totton.

The new Totton Dental Centre, which will open on April 1st, will provide 6,000 new dental places for patients in the Totton area, improving access to NHS dental services in the New Forest. The dental centre will house five surgeries; the centre will be managed by the SCA group, which already runs a number of dental practices in the Hampshire area.

Once the new Totton practice is up and running, SCA Trafalgar will be providing care for almost 90,000 patients in Hampshire. Sam Smith, director of Trafalgar Dentistry, said that the new practice will help to ease pressure on existing practices and reduce the shortfall of dentists in the area. SCA Trafalgar will work closely alongside NHS Hampshire to ensure that first-rate oral health services are available to members of the public.

The practice is planning to host open days over the course of the next few months to encourage local people to register and raise awareness of the services available at the surgery. Patients who wish to join the register are advised to contact the practice directly or telephone NHS Hampshire.
