Event organisers are preparing to reveal details of an upcoming Mission of Mercy clinic in Connecticut.

The Connecticut Mission of Mercy is planning to host the next free dental clinic on June 7th and 8th, with hundreds of people expected to benefit from free dental care.

The Mission of Mercy was established with the aim of making affordable dental care accessible to the thousands of people across the USA who cannot afford it. The clinics are opened across the country and usually last 2 or 3 days, with a wide range of dental services available. There are also hundreds of volunteers on hand to help and offer their expertise and time.

Event organisers are expected to reveal details of the next event at a news conference at the Legislative Office in Hartford on Wednesday. The conference will be attended by Senate President Donald.E. Williams Jr, Brendan Sharkey, House President and Bill Finch, the Mayor of Bridgeport.

The clinic is expected to take place at the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport and volunteers are hoping to aid around 2,000 people over the course of the 2-day event. Appointments will be handed out on a first come, first served basis and organisers are expecting people to start queuing the night before.

The event will be conducted by the Connecticut Mission of Mercy in conjunction with the Connecticut Foundation for Dental Outreach, the Connecticut State Dental Association and the American Dentists Care Foundation.
