Dental laboratory relocation could create 200 jobs in Bolton

A dental laboratory could relocate to Bolton, creating two hundred jobs. Genix Healthcare has revealed that Sparkle Dental Labs will move from Leeds to the University of Bolton as part of an expansion project.

The relocation will cement a partnership between the university and Sparkle Dental Labs, which is run by parent company, Genix Healthcare.

As part of the move, around 100 members of staff will move from the current premises in Leeds and 100 new jobs will be created. Employees in Leeds were offered the chance to relocate across the Pennines, but some opted to stay in West Yorkshire.

The new laboratory at the university is under construction, and it is hoped that it will be up and running by September. It is located in the Queen’s Specialist Building and will enable students studying to become dental technicians the chance to gain hands-on experience as part of part-time and full-time courses.

Managing director of Sparkle Dental Labs, Mustafa Mohammed, said that it is an exciting time for the firm and for the University of Bolton. The move will enable the company to work with a university at the forefront of education and dental technology, as well as giving students the chance to gain valuable practical skills and experience.

Sparkle Dental Labs manufactures a wide range of dental products and appliances, including dental implants, bridges and dentures.
