Cosmetic dentistry technology ‘zeroes in on better results’

It is vital that cosmetic dentistry patients walk away with not only a beautiful smile, but a healthy one as well, it has been claimed.

Dr Hugh Flax, who is accredited by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, has stated that the cost of cosmetic dental treatment is wasted if teeth do not function properly afterwards.

He explained that by using the T-scan, a dental occlusion analysis system, he can examine the exact force and timing of a patient’s bite, allowing him to spend less time taking measurements and more time solving the problem.

The T-scan creates a computerised image of the bite, meaning it is easy for dentists to clearly see where the problem lies and avoid performing unnecessary procedures.

"With T-scan, our patients are able to be ecstatic about their smiles for the long-term," Dr Flax claimed. "We can zero in on better results."

Express Healthcare magazine has reported that advances in technology have led to growth in the cosmetic dentistry industry.ADNFCR-1374-ID-18477345-ADNFCR
