Bupa Dental has acquired a new dental practice in Kent. The chain has agreed to take over the Hospital Lane Dental and Implant Clinic as part of an ongoing expansion programme.

The clinic marks Bupa Dental’s 17th new acquisition in 2018. The chain already manages over 470 dental surgeries across the UK and Ireland, and there are plans for further growth in the coming years.

Over the course of the last year, Bupa has taken over Avsan Holdings, which managed 16 practices in England and Scotland, and Metrodental and its two London-based clinics.

Ruth Chesmore, acquisition and integration director at Bupa, said that the team is thrilled about the addition of Hospital Lane Dental. After joining the Bupa network, the clinic will now benefit from referrals from local Bupa practices and support features, including help with marketing and HR.

Tony Lane, clinical director at Hospital Lane Dental and Implant Clinic, said that he and his team have been working tirelessly to establish an excellent reputation since the practice opened in 1990, and the chance to join the Bupa network will put the centre on the map as a leading regional referral clinic. The practice boasts clinical specialists who are looking forward to partnering with other local surgeries to deliver the highest standards of dental care.
