Buckinghamshire Dental Practice Faces Many Months of Repair After Burst Pipe

Sample News Big

A practice in Burnham, South Buckingham which has been ravaged by a burst water main has said it will be feeling the effects and sorting out the aftermath for “many months”.

The dental clinic, Burnham Dental Clinic on High Street, suffered a burst water main as a result of the rapidly changing weather that has affected the UK, with a mix of the cold snap and more clement weather being too much for the pipe. The water damage was catastrophic, causing the ceiling to collapse, and this along with water damage caused serious damage to patient records and dental equipment.

The practice manager noted how supportive her staff and patients have been, shifting their hours so they can see patients in the evening whilst repairs are taking place, and the clinic is working around the clock to get everything running and soaking the water out, noting it will take months and likely a number of very large heating bills to get rid of all of the water, even going so far as to try to recover some documents by drying them out with a hairdryer.
