Bridlington Dental Clinic Launches New Appeal to Encourage Locals to Attend Dental Check-Ups

Sample News Big

A dental clinic in Bridlington has launched a new appeal to encourage local people to see their dentist on a regular basis.

Mydentist Bridlington is appealing to local residents to make sure they attend regular check-ups after a survey revealed that 27 percent of people in the UK only go to their dentist when they suffer from dental pain. This is despite expert advice to attend check-ups every 6-9 months.

Practice manager Denise Milestone said that it’s important to reach out to patients to encourage them to make regular checks a priority, especially as research suggests that up to 60 percent of cases of decay could have been prevented by regular dental appointments. There is often an assumption that there are no NHS places available, however this is not the case in Bridlington and local people who are not currently registered with a dentist are encouraged to get in touch and join the practice list.

The Quay Street practice is currently accepting new NHS patients and appointments are available six days a week. The clinic also offers an emergency service.
