Sample News Big

A dentist from Bradford is preparing to hit the roads to complete a cycle challenge to raise money for a good cause.

Dentist Mark Ray, from Ravat and Ray Dental Care in Manningham, will be cycling around nine of the chain’s dental practices on September 20th to raise money for Bridge2Aid, a dental charity that raises money to provide training, equipment and dental care to communities in Tanzania.

Mr Ray will be cycling around the practices, which are located in Yorkshire and Lancashire; the route is 207 km long in total.

Bridge2Aid is a UK-based charity, which sends teams of volunteers to Tanzania to provide basic dental care and equipment and train practitioners so that they can offer treatment for people after the team has left. Teams visit on a regular basis and there are plans for the charity to expand the project into Rwanda.

The practice will also be donating a sum of £500 to Compass Bridge, a charity that provides alternative education for children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Mr Ray has thanked everyone for their kind donations and money for the challenge is still being accepted.
