After graduating from Newcastle University School of Dentistry in 1988, Dr Rob Wain immediately began general practice in Whitley Bay. He moved to Gosforth in 1992, where he became a practice principle and provided advanced restorative care and dental implants to patients from Yorkshire to the borders and across to Cumbria. Recently, Rob completed a Masters degree in Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry at the University of Manchester.

Rob has taught and lectured around Britain on a variety of subjects. These include implantology, minimal intervention dentistry and aesthetics. He is a consultant for dental companies and has presented in San Diego to the International Association of Dental Researchers. Rob is a member of North East Private Dentists, The International Association of Minimal Intervention Dentistry, The (UK) Association of Dental Implantology, The British Academy of Cosmetic Dentists and The British Dental Association.

Rob’s ambition for advanced training led to his attendance at some of the most prestigious training events in the world, located in Europe, the UK and America.

In 2008, Rob established Dovetail. He is the lead clinical director and he is responsible for treatment planning, co-ordination and prosthetics. His particular interest lies in aesthetics and rehabilitating failing teeth and mouths.
