Dr Johan Viljoen studied at the University of Pretoria in South Africa where he received his BChD. Since qualifying he has taken many post-graduate courses in Implantology and Cosmetic Dentistry. These include courses led by extreme makeover dentist Dr Bill Dorfman, top New York Cosmetic Dentist Dr Larry Rosenthal, top Austrlian cosmetic dentist Dr Derry Rogers and implantology pioneer Dr Hilt Tatum.

He is a member of many dental groups and associations including:
