Oykum was born in 1977 in Konya, Anatolia, the son of an army doctor. He attended Barbaros Primary School and the Antalya Anatolian High School before going to Istanbul to study dentistry at the Dentistry Faculty of Marmara University.

On graduation he worked for Kemer Life Hospital between 2001-2005 before switching to their sister hospital in Antalya, Antalya Life Hospital (Yasam), working there for a year before starting his own clinic which he has run successfully ever since.

Oykum speaks excellent English and after his wife and young daughter his passion is Besiktas Football Club following his time at University in Istanbul.

He has continued to attend and successfully passes courses since graduation e.g. implant surgery, Ankara 2005.

His practice is in one of the best areas of Antalya, close to the centre but also on the coast with a range of good hotels nearby. Antalya is very much geared for the tourist and patients have the option of advice about where to stay if coming specifically for treatment.

Transport to and from the airport, and within the city can also be arranged on request.
