Will Veneers on Just 4 Teeth Make a Noticeable Difference?

Friday, May 29th, 2015
Q.

I’m considering having teeth whitening and veneers. Before visiting my dentist I had in mind just the top 8 teeth but my dentist advised to just get the front 4, as my other teeth are good size, with just 4 veneers and the other 4 teeth visible in my smile. Will there be a noticeable difference? And as a separate question, my dentist also advised Zirconium veneers but Google results suggest these aren’t the best for front teeth. Can you offer any advice on the above questions and any recommendations?

I Have A Missing Central Incisor. What Would Be The Best Type Of Bridge For This Situation?

Tuesday, May 6th, 2014
Q.

Hello Andrew, I need your advice. I have had a missing central incisor for around a year and I am currently wearing a denture at the moment. What is the best material for a bridge in this situation? Strength wise and aesthetically? I have been advised to try a Zirconia bridge. Could you tell me the material this is made from and how long is it likely to last and is it the best? My teeth and gums are healthy otherwise. Would bleaching affect already existing tooth coloured fillings or damage them? Thank you for your time.

Should I Pay Additional Money To Have Gold Beneath The Two Front Bridges, Given That I Am Seventy Six?

Wednesday, January 8th, 2014
Q.

Hello Marcus, I have had most of my upper and bottom rear teeth replaced by four permanent porcelain bridges; about twenty-one teeth total. I am presently having five of my upper front teeth replaced with two separate bridges. I am seventy six years old .My question is: Should I pay the additional money to have gold beneath the two front bridges, given my age? Also, what would the additional benefit be in terms of longevity of the teeth? I look forward to hearing from you.

Receding Gums And Bad Teeth, Which Implants Should I Go For?

Friday, March 22nd, 2013
Q.

Hi Dr, I am 62 years old and to be blunt my upper teeth have seen better days! I have receding gums and now since having researched on the internet about the ‘all on 4’ dental implants I am now becoming a bit confused as to which is the better option for me, ‘all on 4’, or the 6 implants treatment option that I have seen. This is because some say that 6 implants will support the arch better and last longer. Also I understand that the 6 implants comes with a ceramic arch with zirconia better than acrylic or do you know of any better materials in use currently for constructing the arch. If it is any help to your accuracy in answering my questions I would like to make it clear that I am looking for something that will last for a very long time and look very good.
