Hi Dr Andrew, hope you are well. What is the difference between Enlighten Whitening and Enlighten Evolution 3 Whitening? I know with Evolution 3 you get the in-surgery appointment on the 15th day, but does this really make a big difference to results generally, as there is a significant difference in price? And do teeth sometimes go whiter than a B1 shade? I’ve heard they can do depending on natural colour of teeth?

I’m considering having teeth whitening and veneers. Before visiting my dentist I had in mind just the top 8 teeth but my dentist advised to just get the front 4, as my other teeth are good size, with just 4 veneers and the other 4 teeth visible in my smile. Will there be a noticeable difference? And as a separate question, my dentist also advised Zirconium veneers but Google results suggest these aren’t the best for front teeth. Can you offer any advice on the above questions and any recommendations?

So my teeth are strong and I do not want veneers, just my shaped and made very white. I want a consultation and to avoid veneers. There is a tooth that would require implants because it broke in half. How much would this cost? I would like great smile, thank you.

When I was 17 I got my teeth whitened and then veneers on my two front teeth.
About a year ago one of my veneers snapped and I had to get a replacement. The one my dentist put on is a totally different shade to the rest of my teeth and it’s making me really unhappy.
I was looking to get my teeth whitened again and obviously two new veneers to match the same as the rest.
Do you know roughly how much this would cost?

I had 6 porcelain veneers fitted to my top front 6 teeth 25 years ago. Within the last 12 months 2 have chipped which I had replaced during my last 2 months in the RAF (free dental treatment) but they are not even close to the shade of my other 4. Since leaving the RAF I have joined my local dentist and recently another veneer has pinged off. I saw my dentist and he recommended that I have all 6 replaced in order to colour match and have all my teeth whitened and fillings replaced with white ones. What would you recommend? (I do fully expect my remaining original veneers to start pinging off now as they’ve lasted way beyond what it was advised).

Which treatments are there currently available so I can have my lips altered and have my teeth seen more whenever I smile? When I smile my lips cover up both sets of teeth. What kind of costs would I looking at for this type of treatment? It really annoys me and it’s something I’ve had to put up with all my life. Hi. I’m messaging you as I recently went to the dentist. She did what she could for me and since then (8 months ago) I’ve quit smoking I have done all of what she suggested but my teeth just seem to get worse. I have over lapping teeth at the front which wouldn’t be so bad if the enamel were there but its completely gone. So much so, that I have dark shadows on them I can’t bear to smile. I then thought I’d pay to have them whitened with a friend, hers were amazing mine not too bad but my 2 front teeth look the same, I’m at a loss, what should I do? I’m so sick of smiling though a closed mouth or hiding it with my hand. I’m 31 & I would rather have all my teeth taken out & have dentures rather than have this for the rest of my life.

Hi Andrew. I went to the dentist yesterday because I thought the tooth whitening I was doing had caused me some irritation. The dentist found a small abscess in the front tooth and dressed it. This was a surprise to me as it was not so painful. He gave me antibiotics but said to try not to take them. Should I take them as it is now very painful and is around the nose area again and worse than before. It is worrying me but the dentist is closed over the weekend. I hope you can advise me.
