I’m 17 and have had braces before for my front right tooth. I then was given a retainer to wear, but unfortunately I had a chip in my front right tooth and had to get this filled at my dentist. This meant my retainer wouldn’t fit. It’s been too long and I am very self conscious of my teeth and wondered if it was free for me to have them again, seeing as I’m under the age of 18, or if not, how much would the process of me getting braces again cost?

Hi Dr Hughes, I had a fall yesterday and chipped the bottom of two of my front teeth. About one quarter of each tooth is chipped off. I went to see my dentist immediately and she told me that no nerves are exposed, and to wait for about five days for the teeth to heal before doing the filling. My teeth only hurt if they are tapped, and then it feels sensitive and quite sore. I asked if an X-ray is needed, and my dentist said no. In the meantime, she gave me painkillers. I would like a second opinion. Is she right that I should wait a couple of days to do the filling and not immediately? I would be very grateful to have your advice, thanks so much!

i have two teeth at the front on the top that have been chipped for many years now. i’ve never had any work done on either of these and i’ve never had any grief with them but this is the first time i have considered having my teeth looked at but would like to know before i look in to quotes what is the best option. i was wondering whether you would recommend Veneers? i would like to get the gaps filled in. i also have a tooth at the top that i chipped but it’s more serious than the two front teeth
Hello Dr. Kalpesh Bohara, I have a chipped tooth (front tooth) and I wanted to have composite bonding. Please can you advise how much it would cost to repair a chipped tooth using this method. It is only chipped in one corner of the tooth. The tooth has been chipped for a long time but and I did want it sorted when it happened however my teeth were crooked and I had to have braces put on. I have only just had my braces removed and was interested in getting my chipped tooth repairs years ago however my dentist had told me not to repair the chip now and advised me that I should get my teeth straightened first. And now my braces are off and my teeth are all straight. So the priority now is getting my chipped tooth repaired now and I shall have the smile I want. And advice you can offer will be helpful. i have nice teeth all round but i have a problem with my two front teeth, as i teen i may have chipped them and i have noticed that the “chip” is getting bigger. The chip is in the middle of my two front teeth.
i was wondering if it is possible to file them to make them appear rounded? My two front teeth are large anyway so i do feel that this is possible? Would they both have to be altered? I don’t know how to go about getting this done. please get back to me asap….

I have two chipped front teeth from a accident when I was 9years old. Over the years my teeth have grown and misshaped and now very wonky and overlapping each other now at 23 years old. Is there anyway I can get veneers or treatment on the top four teeth on the nhs? It’s stopped me smiling and I’m so self conscious of it, I hate them. If I had the money I would of had them done years ago. It’s just so expensive but I can not leave them like this any longer.
