Mark Alexander Hughes, BA.BDentSc. (Dubl) DRDP (UCL) brings years of experience and extensive training as a cosmetic dentist to his dentistry practice based in London. Extensive Experience

Dr. Hughes has placed over 2,000 veneers in his career as a cosmetic dentist in London and has been practising dentistry now for more than 15 years. He has completed over a thousand teeth whitening cases and was amongst the very first dentists in the UK to offer ZOOM!® teeth whitening. He has been a certified Invisalign® dentist since 2004.

Extensive Training

After graduating from Trinity College Dublin with honours in 1992, cosmetic dentist Mark Hughes received the University College London Eastman Dental Institute’s Diploma in Restorative Dentistry. Since 2002, Dr. Hughes has attended over 700 hours of post-graduate training courses, where the national requirement for dentists in the UK is only half this; over two-thirds of these programs have been on the topic of cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Hughes has attended training courses by representatives of the world renowned Pankey and Dawson Institutes Florida, USA. He has also trained under some of the world's leading cosmetic dentists and orthodontists, including Dr. Larry Rosenthal, Dr. John Cranham, Dr. Trent Smallwood, Dr. Skip Truitt, Dr. Howard Stean, and others. Dr. Hughes regularly attended the annual meetings of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and Invisalign®. He is a certified Invisalign® and CEREC® dentist, and he has been a certified facial aesthetics and BOTOX® Cosmetic therapy provider since 2005.

Posts Held

Dr. Hughes is a consultant for several national cosmetic surgery groups ( including the Transform cosmetic surgery group) the Buy Association independent consumer advice group, the actors union Equity, the British Performing Arts Trust, the Musicians' and Actors' Benevolent Fund, and two other prestigious cosmetic dentistry practices in London. As one of the pioneers of 5-star dentistry service in the UK, Dr. Hughes is regularly asked for his expert opinion as a cosmetic dentist on television programmes, national newspapers, and glossy magazines, most recently including Sky News, Independent News, City AM, and Glamour magazine. He is also an experienced provider of facial aesthetic procedures and often combines these treatments with smile makeovers to produce amazing results. He has lectured at many public beauty and cosmetics exhibitions, including an appearance at Body Beautiful at London's Olympia, as well as other London beauty centres.
