Dentist and oral health charity founder, Dr Linda Greenwall, has published a new cookbook to raise funds.

Dr Greenwall, a leading prosthodontist and specialist in restorative dentistry, will be donating proceeds from the recipe collection to the charity she founded, the Dental Wellness Trust.

The book, which is entitled ‘Food Memories- The Cookbook,’ contains almost 300 recipes, including hearty, healthy breakfast dishes, snacks, pies and salads. Many of the recipes were inspired by family members who hail from South Africa and left Eastern Europe to escape oppression and persecution. Food was at the heart of family life and it got people through the most challenging times.

The idea for the book came to Dr Greenwall during the Covid lockdown. The family was making up to 20 dishes per day using the time at home to explore new ideas as well as recreate much-loved classics. Linda wanted to put all the ideas and recipes into a cookbook, which celebrated family favourites and put a new spin or twist on cherished Jewish recipes that had been passed down through the generations.

All profits from the book, which is available to order via the Dental Wellness Trust website, will be donated to the charity to support oral health initiatives and education. The recipe book is priced at £48.
