A Yorkshire dental group has revealed expansion plans after acquiring a new practice in Harrogate.

The owners of Target Dental have added a new practice to their portfolio, and there are also plans to expand three existing clinics as part of a £2 million investment in the business. The firm will create 20 new jobs in the region in the coming year, as the ambitious owners look to strengthen their presence in Yorkshire.

Starbeck Dental Centre in Harrogate will become Target Dental’s sixth clinic. The practice is currently undergoing refurbishment work and the company is working on a rebrand, but the surgery will remain open with no disruption to appointments.

As well as acquiring the new Harrogate site, owners Alex Renshaw and Mike Brown confirmed plans to expand three existing practices in Otley, Yeadon and Ilkley. Yeadon Dental Centre will be relocating to larger premises on the High Street, while more treatment rooms are being added at Otley Dental Care.

Former dentists Mike and Alex founded the business in 2008, and in the last four years alone, the company has doubled in size. The duo now employs 90 members of staff across West and North Yorkshire and there are plans to continue growing the business with new acquisitions and developments to existing clinics.

The aim, according to Mike, is to build a “group of practices that deliver exceptional healthcare to Yorkshire residents with the help of our talented, hardworking staff.”
