Yogi Savania Celebrates Eight Award Nominations
A dentist from Swadlincote is celebrating after being nominated in eight categories at the Aesthetic Dentistry Awards.
Yogi Savania, from Alexandra Dental Care in Belmont Street, received more nominations than any other dentist and was short-listed in eight different categories.
Yogi was ‘highly commended’ in the Removable Orthodontic category at the lavish awards ceremony, which took place at London’s Landmark Hotel. Although he did not win any of the awards, he was delighted to be nominated and to be highly commended in one category. He also said that he was extremely proud of his team and the practice, which was nominated for the Best Practice award.
Dentists, dental nurses, reception staff and hygienists from all over the country gathered for the awards ceremony, which is viewed by many in the profession as the Oscars of the dental world. The awards are designed to honour and reward the best in the business and it is an incredible achievement to be short-listed, let alone to win an award.
Yogi said that it is daunting to put your work in front of a judging panel and to learn that highly respected professionals respect your work is hugely satisfying.
