Worcester dental practice set to expand

The owners of a dental practice in Worcester are hoping to get the green light for ambitious expansion plans.

An application to add a new extension to St Peter’s Dental Practice in Norton Close has been submitted to the local council.

The additional space would enable the team to add a surgery, taking the number of surgeries at the practice to five. The proposal outlines plans to create a new consulting room, staff room and disabled toilet.

In a statement accompanying the application, the applicants suggested that the extension would have minimal impact on neighbouring buildings and the work would be done in keeping with the style of the existing practice.

The main focus of the project is to enhance the interior of the practice to create more space by adjusting the layout and enhancing the flow. The renovation would also improve the patient experience and the functionality of the space.

After receiving the initial application, planning officers have asked for more information, specifically about parking, and will make a decision in due course. There were no objections during the public consultation phase.
