Witley Woman Compensated After Breaking Tooth on Slice of Takeaway Pizza

A 28 year old woman has been compensated after breaking a tooth on a slice of takeaway pizza.

Bella Peppiatt was enjoying a slice of vegetarian pizza from Domino’s when she bit down on something hard, breaking her tooth. On closer inspection, she found a metal screw. Bella contacted the branch she ordered from and then rang head office to make a complaint.

Domino’s claimed that the screw had come loose from a pizza cutter and offered unreserved apologies for the incident. The firm has offered a full refund and vouchers, and they will also cover the cost of Bella’s dental treatment.

A spokesman for Domino’s confirmed that investigations had suggested that the screw had come off a pizza cutter in what was described as a “rare and isolated incident” and added that Ms Peppiatt had been offered compensation. The spokesman also confirmed that Domino’s has been in touch with the supplier and the Tilehurst store to ensure that a similar incident doesn’t occur in the future.
