Winchester Dental Clinic Closes Suddenly

Sample News Big

An orthodontic clinic in Winchester has closed unexpectedly, leaving around 1,000 patients with an uncertain future.

The Winchester Centre of Orthodontics, which was based in City Road, has closed suddenly, leaving patients wondering what to do about their treatment. Several patients have arrived at the clinic in the last few days to find a note on the door, which says that the clinic has now closed. A parent of a 15 year old patient explained that they had been given no notice of the closure and had found it extremely difficult to get hold of anyone at the practice. The parent stated that the clinic is letting children down and action should be taken immediately to ensure that patients are able to continue their treatment.

It is understood that the clinic had recently received an NHS dental contract, but it was then revoked and since then, the clinic has closed. It is believed that patient records are still being kept at the practice.

The centre had around one thousand orthodontic patients on the books and many will have been in the middle of treatment. The sudden closure will leave them in limbo and patients are waiting for further information to see what can be done about their treatment.
