‘Wide range’ of cosmetic dentistry options

The choices of cosmetic dentistry treatments is one of the biggest changes in the beauty industry in the last 50 years, it has been claimed.

Speaking to Health News Digest, songwriter Annette Tucker said that beauty regimes have come a long way in this time.

There were no teeth whitening products available, she said, adding: "We used baking soda."

However, the publication states that achieving a brighter whiter smile is "faster and easier than ever" with the array of products in shops.

"Your dentist has a bag of tricks," it adds, advising patients to seek teeth whitening for instant results or Lumineers – extra thin, translucent, porcelain veneers – for a long-lasting effect.

Ms Tucker, whose hit I Had Too Much To Dream (Last Night) was made famous in the 1960s by Electric Prunes, added that unlike 50 years ago, people can pick and choose which products are best for them.

A survey by the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and Mintel found that more than one-quarter of people believe having cosmetic dental work done can improve their quality of life.ADNFCR-1374-ID-18564661-ADNFCR
