West Midlands Police have released CCTV footage following a robbery at a dental practice in Sheldon in June. Police officers have released footage in a bid to encourage anyone who has any information about the incident to get in touch.

Masked thieves stormed into the surgery, which is located on Sheaf Lane, on June 28th. As patients waited in the reception area, the offenders burst through the doors of the treatment room, stealing a dentist’s watch and stabbing him in the arm with a pair of scissors. A female patient was undergoing treatment at the time of the incident. The watch is of particular interest to police, as it is a distinctive Rolex Submariner, which is worth around £25,000.

Detective Constable Craig Tennant said that the force has contacted all jewellers in the area and provided a serial code. Anyone who has seen the watch or noticed it for sale anywhere is advised to get in touch with police. Officers are also keen to hear from people who may have seen the thieves entering the surgery and anyone who recognises the individuals from the CCTV footage. Anyone who has information about the robbery is advised to call 101 quoting the crime number 20BE/144576D/18 or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
