TV Presenter Holly Willoughby Tops Smile Poll
A poll carried out by the British Dental Health Foundation has revealed that people in the UK think that Holly Willoughby has the most welcoming smile.
The poll, which was conducted as part of National Smile Month, showed that people considered the This Morning presenter to have the most welcoming smile, with Kelly Brook coming in second place. Victoria Beckham came out as the celebrity with the worst smile and 63 percent of poll participants said that the former Spice Girl should smile more; 25 percent of people also said that Mrs Beckham has the fakest smile.
In the male category, David Beckham shared the top spot with Prince William for the most welcoming smile, while William’s brother, Harry came in last place with only 3 percent of the vote.
The National Smile Month campaign, which is run by the British Dental Health Foundation, will run from the 15th May to the 15th June; this year’s theme is ‘The Smile Factor’ and dentists are keen to raise awareness of the importance of a healthy, attractive smile. Chief executive, Dr Nigel Carter, said that celebrity trends are encouraging more people to have cosmetic dentistry to get a Hollywood style smile; however, he stressed that it was important for people to remember the basics of oral hygiene in order to protect their teeth and gums and reduce the risk of oral health illnesses.
